2024 – The Revolution Round-up

Hasn’t the time flown by! Another year and another Revolution round-up of new models announced, pre-ordered items delivered and the recruitment of our fifth team member.

Revolution highlights of 2024 have included:

  • Delivering new and award-winning models including the N Class 59s, N Carolines, OO PCA ‘Alcan’ tanks, N FNA-D nuclear flask carriers, OO HOA hoppers and more.
  • Raising more money for good causes linked to the rail industry including Railway Children and Martin House Hospice through sales of specific models, the Revolution raffle with Cavalex and our questionable skills on the five-a-side field.
  • Recruiting designer Louis Spurgin as the newest member of the team.
  • Attending more shows than ever across Britain including the inaugural Model World Live and National Festival of Railway Modelling at the NEC along with our usual exhibitions including Model Rail Scotland and the Great Electric Train Show, as well as more niche events such as Define and DEMU Showcase.
  • Securing a licence to produce models of GBRf’s all-new Class 99 bi-mode freight locomotive, built by Stadler and owned by Beacon, which we announced at Innotrans in Berlin.
  • Developing our first model in TT:120, the MMA/JNA ‘Ealnos’ box wagon.
  • Being recognised with numerous awards for our models.
  • Continuing to enjoy ourselves and hoping our supporters, customers and friends are enjoying the journey with us!

A year… and a decade...

It’s not just another 12 months of progress, but 2024 marked Revolution’s ten-year anniversary.

It seems hard to believe that the original dream of crowdfunding a Pendolino in N gauge was a decade ago but here we are!

That wraps it up for 2024 – but there’s lots more to come in 2025!

There’s no doubt 2024 has been a big year for us, but we are aiming to make 2025 even better.

The first quarter should see the arrival of our Class 66 locomotives, Class 313 units, and Cartic-4s in N plus our OO KSA Rover Cubes/timber carriers, along with the IHA steel carriers in both OO and N.

In addition we will be opening the order book very soon on our much-anticipated K-type Pullman sets in N and in the next few weeks we will be unveiling new powered models and wagons in OO and N.

Here’s to the next ten years!
