Description
The All-steel K-type Pullmans were introduced in 1928 for use by the LNER on the Queen of Scots service. BR reintroduced Pullman services in 1948. For late 1940s-1950s coaches the SR coach packs (A and B) are more appropriate. This pack represents the Bournemouth Belle as it ran in the 1960s (after many Pullman cars had transferred from the ECML) with an updated Pullman coat of arms, simplified lining and grey roofs.
This pack contains 4 coaches: Lucille – Sheila – Loraine – Car No. 83 (First Parlour – First Parlour – First Kitchen – Second Parlour)
NB by the 1960s BR had changed third class to second class.
Livery details for this pack: grey roofs, updated Pullman coat of arms, simplified lining, umber fascia boards and “Car No. XX” branding (livery suitable from 1950s).
