Description

The All-steel K-type Pullmans were introduced in 1928 for use by the LNER on the Queen of Scots service (replacing earlier styles of wooden bodied Pullmans).

This prestigious train was operated until the onset of World-War 2 as an 8 car train: Third Brake – Third Kitchen – Third Parlour – First Kitchen – First Parlour – Third Parlour – Third Kitchen – Third Brake.

Pack B contains 4 coaches: Sheila – Third Class Car No. 76 – Third Class Car No. 70 – Third Class Car No. 78

Our Queen of Scots packs (A and B) allow the modeller to build up a complete, authentic rake based on one of the first Queen of Scots services that ran in 1928.  From 1948, BR restarted the Pullman services including the Queen of Scots.

Livery details for this pack: white roofs,  umber fascia boards and ‘Third Class Car no. XX’ branding.  The Queen of Scots service continued in this livery in the late-1940s into the 1950s (during the 1950s the third class car branding started to change to ‘Car No. XX’ and from 1960 the Pullman coat of arms was changed).

Our highly detailed 1:148 (UK N gauge) model features:

  • different body styles appropriate for each coach type
  • NEM standard coupling sockets with kinematic close coupling system
  • Prism Free Glazing
  • Fully detailed Underframe
  • Fully detailed and painted / printed accurate interiors
  • Interior lighting and working table lamps
  • Separately applied etched metal and high fidelity plastic detail parts, including handrails, brake pipes

Designed for Peco second radius curves.
