Description
The All-steel K-type Pullmans were introduced in 1928 for use by the LNER on the Queen of Scots service. In 1931 the GWR’s Pullmans were transferred to the Southern Railway (SR) for use on their Ocean Liner Express and Bournemouth Belle.
This pack contains 4 coaches: Third Class Car No. 81 – Third Class Car No. 82 – Third Class Car No. 83 – Third Class Car No. 84 (2 x Kitchen Thirds and 2 x Parlour Thirds)
For the SR’s Ocean Liner Express Pullman cars were mixed with standard coaching stock to make up a complete train, whilst the Bournemouth Belle ran as trains of all Pullmans (for example the Pullman Thirds in our GWR / SR Pack A).
These coaches were later transferred to the ECML.
