Description
Redpath-Dorman-Long built PTA box wagons for iron ore traffic in the 1970s. With the decline of iron ore traffic in the early 1980s some of the wagons were purchased by leasing companies for use in limestone aggregate traffic. Foster Yeoman and ARC used fleets of these box wagons for aggregate traffic from the Somerset quarries. The PTAs were built as mix of outer wagons with rotary couplings and fixed couplings and inners. We are offering outer and inner packs of 5 wagons.
The Foster Yeoman outer PTA 5-pack contains 5 wagons in “big Y” Yeoman livery as introduced from 1989 and includes two outer wagons, one of which has a battery operated tail light: PR26561 (outer); PR26552 (outer); and three inners: PR26496; PR26509 and PR26457.
