The Revolution Trains/Cavalex prize draw has raised over £1000 for the charity Railway Children.

The draw took place just before Christmas at Beacon Rail’s offices in London. In September Beacon and GBRf hosted a five-a-side football tournament with teams from throughout the rail industry, in which Revolution took part, and raised £18,000.

Railway Children works to help vulnerable children on the rail network who may be frightened and alone by training rail staff, the police, and other workers in identifying youngsters and in handling them effectively and safely. The charity also funds ‘safe spaces’ in major railway stations where they can be given food, water and shelter.
This time the focus was on OO gauge models, and we would like to thank our friends at Cavalex Models for generously donating a number of their highly regarded models to the draw.

We would like to thank everyone who took part – prizes were sent out shortly before Christmas. If you won congratulations, if you did not commiserations!
